Whoa… Website… Blogs… Crazy! I can’t keep track! I can’t sleep! All I want is Morro da Lagoa!
I’m down here with Dalua again in Sao Leopolodo and we’re RACING tomorrow in the nearby town of Gravatai. It should be another grandarific downtown skateboard challenge filled with spills, thrills, and other great skateboarding related buzzwords. It’s the first year this race is being held and it’s going to be sweeeeet.
I skated my faaavorite Brasileiro hill 31 times in two days, thus netting me 155 hairpin turns. I hitchhiked all day till I couldn’t make the final 5 meter walk to the tippy top. The policia are on my tail and they want to catch me… They keep seeing me on the hill, but top to bottom takes only 1 minute and 10 seconds through the sete curvas, 7 turns, and 5 off camber hairpins. It’s impossible for cars to keep up, though they try.
I heard of a new hill… The monster… Morro da Cruz… I’ll be skating it next week… DANGER! Only Sergio has skated from top to bottom, and I think I’ll be the first to ride it fast, with soft wheels, and no FOOTBRAKING. Cause footbraking is lame. As the Brasileiros would say:
hey mr. administrator? can we initiate? skateboarding’s for the privileged, you rich gringos. What we want to here about is dem ladies, NOW THAT SHIT is universal. So, have THEY wrangled you yet? have you found your swagger ? Brazilian and Columbian women are Gods gift to white teen males that have not found their mojo. Catch the rhythm grasshoppper, just don’t bring her back, they want more grasshopppers.
